What is an IV Pain Reducing Infusion?
IV Pain Reducing Infusion is a non-opioid medication that has been used for decades in anesthesiology and pain management to treat pain. More recently, it has become popular as a treatment option for those patients suffering from chronic pain, central sensitization, neuropathies, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome as an IV infusion. To ensure a safe and effective therapy, all our infusions are customized to the patient. We dose our medications based on ideal body weight (IBW) and pre-treat our patients with anti-anxiety medication and anti-nausea medication to avoid any negative side effects. We have designed an exclusive IV lounge where these infusions are administered to offer a tranquil environment where patients can experience maximal pain relief. Generally these infusions last anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour, however the length of infusions can vary based on the patient as well.
